M.S. Graduate Research Assistant- Small Impoundment Fisheries Management

- Bachelor’s degree in fisheries, biological sciences, statistics, or a related field
- Interest in fisheries management and population dynamics
- Interest in quantitative methods, statistics, and computer modeling
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in lab and field settings
- Boat operation and field equipment experience preferred but not required
- Must meet Auburn University graduate admission requirements

Description: “Auburn University is seeking a highly motivated student for a fully funded M.S. Graduate Research Assistantship focused on small impoundment fisheries management for .recreational angling. The project integrates fieldwork and quantitative computer modeling to evaluate management strategies. The student will collaborate closely with state agency personnel, researchers, and the angling public, gaining applied management experience. Auburn offers excellent laboratory and field facilities, a collaborative research environment, and funding for research expenses and travel to scientific conferences
